5 Seconds of Summer’s Ashton Irwin is heading it on your own withSuperbloom, his debut solo album.

Irwin grabbed the possibility to drive himself, as he embarked on a deep dive into his own everyday living and ordeals.
The result, a statement describes, is a “deeply private, evocative and uncompromising” album, its 10 tracks exploring his childhood, alcoholism, despair, entire body dysmorphia, death, dependancy, despair and hope.
“I had to attain a certain stage of lyrical maturity in order to publish about something I actually cared about,” he explains. “I believe it’s normally vital as an artist to have a mission statement, like, ‘why do you make audio? Why do you publish the lyrics you generate?’”
