Instead, the Enclave prioritizes comfort with a plush ride that glides over potholes and scarcely registers strong impacts. It’s ridiculous to expect economy-car efficiency from a big three-row like the Enclave, but in our testing, rivals like the Volvo XC90 just outperformed the Buick. While the EPA’s ratings put these people hauliers in a tight race, the XC90 outperformed its highway prediction by a wide margin. The all-wheel-drive Enclave Avenir delivered precisely what it promised on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, which is part of our thorough testing regimen: 25 mpg.
