GUWAHATI: Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) , an ally of the ruling BJP, mentioned on Sunday that it would file a petition in the Supreme Courtroom praying for revocation of the amended
, celebration leader Kumar Deepak Das reported.
He asserted that the AGP revered the sentiments of common people, who had been wary that the law may well threaten their identification and existence.
“We will take the lawful route to search for revocation of the amended Act as the indigenous individuals of Assam are apprehensive that their identity, language may well occur underneath threat,” Das, a previous Rajya Sabha MP, explained to PTI.
Resources stated a delegation of the AGP, led by Das, would go away for Delhi in the night to file the plea in the apex courtroom.
