The previous Pizza Hut worker who statements he delivered the notorious pizza mentioned in Episode 9 ofThe Final Dancedisputes the idea that anyone tried out to poison Michael Jordan.
Craig Fite, who says he created and shipped the pizza, dealt with the controversy during an appearance Monday on 1280 The Zone’sThe Major Exhibit(h/t Sporting News’ Joe Rivera).
“The crap story the person claimed, that there was five persons, there was two of us—and I failed to even have that several persons operating at the time at the store—but there was two of us,” Fite claimed.
Fite also stated he’s “one hundred per cent particular” Jordan wasn’t poisoned by “that pizza.”
In the documentary, Jordan—along with his personal trainer, Tim Grover, and his ideal mate, George Koehler—recalled hanging out in his hotel place the evening prior to Match five of the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz.
