A feral cat discovered in Alexandria, Virginia, tested positive for rabies, officials say.
The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria said officers captured the small grey cat on Tuesday soon after it was witnessed performing aggressively in the Alexandria West area.
5 men and women had been “exposed to” the cat and the health section is performing with them, officials said.
Authorities are warning any person who experienced actual physical speak to with the cat to connect with the health section at 703-746-4910 or right after several hours at 703-735-8506.
There is also an enhanced threat that other animals in the space could have contracted rabies from the cat.
Signs of rabies in animals incorporate:

- Serious drooling or foaming at the mouth
