The Bombay Significant Court will listen to the bail pleas of actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik on Tuesday. The two, along with a couple users of the staff of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, have been in jail for about 3 weeks on drugs related prices linked to a probe into the actor’s dying. Rhea was arrested on September nine.
On Monday, the Narcotics Command Bureau submitted their affidavit in the court, opposing Rhea’s bail plea. The statement reiterated that Rhea was ‘an active member of the drug syndicate linked with superior modern society personalities and drug suppliers’. The assertion stated, “The existing applicant is outstanding member of source chain of prescription drugs and majorly she is managing finance also. The existing applicant employed to take care of, finance for drug procurement alongside with Sushant Singh Rajput.”
The NCB also mentioned that irrespective of understanding that Sushant eaten prescription drugs, Rhea ‘harboured’ and ‘concealed’ him, “It is further submitted that if general circumstance is noticed, then the present applicant (Rhea) currently being conscious of the truth that Sushant Singh Rajput remaining another person who is engaged in use has harboured him and hid him whilst he was engaged in consuming the prescription drugs. This would volume to harbouring. The existing applicant also permitted her residence for drug storage and usage for Sushant Singh Rajput.”
NCB termed it “a a lot more really serious offence” than use of prescription drugs. “Under the Narcotic Medications and Psychotropic Substances Act, this is the most major crime,” Narcotics Management Bureau officer Sameer Wankhede reported in the prepared submission.
Previously on September 11, the courtroom experienced turned down the bail plea of Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty, and many others observing that if she is introduced on bail she may possibly notify other accused and they might wipe out the proof in the make a difference.

“The statements of Karishma Prakash, Sara Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor have been recorded. Kshitij Prasad has been put under arrested soon after questioning. No clean summon has been issued now. We have arrested more than 18 individuals,” Mutha Ashok Jain, Deputy DG, South-Western Area of NCB claimed on Saturday.
The NCB had launched an investigation into the medications scenario right after it acquired official interaction from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which was investigating the revenue trail related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s loss of life situation.
